A white ceramic sculpture by Sicilian master ceramists.
It depicts the faces of Daphne and Apollo on a charcoal brown backing panel.
Size: 45 x 45 cm
My emotion:
Art has always been a regenerating place for me, a place of ideas and life.
Having been born in Sicily, the cradle of Greek civilization, my idea of art has certainly been influenced by the classical idea of beauty as the harmony and composure of forms and colors.
However, I have always known that the Apollonian world contrasts with the Dionysian one, and that it is from their interaction that the most interesting works of art are born.
Art must be capable of arousing emotions, but it must also remind us that human beings have a yearning for beauty, goodness, and the infinite.
