Beautiful pair of black pine cones, made of Sicilian artistic ceramics. They are crafted and hand-painted by the master ceramists of Caltagirone.
The large one measures 22 cm in height and has a decorated base, the small one measures 10 cm and is entirely black.
My emotion:
One of my favorite scents is that which emanates from the pine trees, especially at sunset, here in Sicily, and I have always loved collecting the pine cones that have fallen from their branches, in search of the pine nuts. This would remind me of my grandmother's stories, who told me how the newlywed couple's bedroom was once decorated with these fruits, to wish fertility and abundance, but also because they were the symbol of eternity and the immortality of love.
