Beautiful pair of yellow pine cone and red half pine cone, both with base decorated with Sicilian motifs.
They are made and hand painted by the master potters of Caltagirone.
They measure: 17 x 17 cm for the half pine cone and 15 cm in height for the pine cone
My emotion:
One of my favorite scents is the one that emanates from pine trees, especially at sunset, here in Sicily, and it I have always liked to collect pine cones that have fallen from their fronds, in search of pine nuts. Then the stories of my grandmother came to mind, who told me how the bedroom of newlyweds was once decorated with these very fruits, to wish fertility and abundance, but also because they were the symbol of eternity and the immortality of love.
