TRADITION AND INNOVATION IN SICILY
A journey through images and colors of Sicily, with artistic and design creations inspired by Sicilian landscapes, the so-called 'pupi', that is, the paladins of France, Sicilian carts, the Heads of Moro, typical decorations of the tradition, elements of the landscape and the sea, reinterpreted in an original and innovative way. Different shapes and multiple subjects, but with a single common denominator: each piece is entirely handmade and painted by skilled hands.
My emotion:
In the atrium of my parents' house, there was a Sicilian Pupo, a puppet from the Teatro dei Pupi that they had bought from a second-hand dealer in Palermo. With its shining armor, it welcomed me every time I returned home. It depicted Orlando, and my father had told me about his exploits when I was a child, so the fascinating stories of the Paladins of France became part of my 'fantasy world' and later I told them to my children.
