Pine Cones

The pine cone has always been a symbol of luck and prosperity in Sicily. It is often found on the sides of the gates of ancient villas and in noble gardens, but also on the facades of buildings and convents. It has an esoteric meaning that is lost in the mists of time, it represents the highest degree of spiritual illumination.

My emotion:

One of my favorite perfumes is the one that emanates from pine trees, especially at sunset, here in Sicily, and I've always liked to collect pine cones fallen from their branches, looking for pine nuts. Then the stories of my grandmother came to mind, which told me how the bedroom of the newlyweds was once decorated with these fruits, to wish fertility and abundance, but also because they were the symbol of eternity and the immortality of love.
